Thanks to all of the Sumpter cousins that wrote to me and let me know that I am still signed up and the list is up and running (although the messages are FEW and FAR BETWEEN!) I have been go go go, I went to South Carolina and did some research while I was there and I will be emailing you all with what I found. While I was there, I took pictures of the gravesite of General Sumter (I will be emailing the photos soon) and I got to look at the "Draper Manuscripts." John David Sumpter, Sr., wrote some letters to Draper and talked about his family and I have copies of them and I will transcribe them and email to the Sumpter list shortly. Thanks again!
