Judy: My George Washington Sumpter was born March 2, 1862, the tenth child of William Patterson Sumpter & Tyrissa Angeline Crisp Sumpter. Born in Burke Co., NC. I have nothing further on him...he is the youngest child in the family and a brother of John Wilburn Sumpter who I am actively researching. Bev Sumpter
