Best regards, Jim Young
I want to thank Michelle for posting those obituaries. It will be helpful to a lot of us in our quest of finding our ancestors. Now I have one question in one of the obits was a Sumpter who lived in Oregon and I believe it was in Melinda's obit. I would like to know if any of those Sumpters are still in Oregon? My reason for asking is that I am still trying to find the death place of Letha Sumpter Eoff Williams. All I know is that she lived in Southern California and that one of her sons Owned a Cattle Ranch down there. My father came over from OK to care for her but they were only there a few weeks when Letha fell and Broke her hip and was placed in a nursing home. Apparently this was the first time my Father and Mother ever really met her but not sure. My father and all but one of his siblings are all gone now. The only surviving member of his family is in a Nursing home after suffering a severe stroke that left her unable to talk anymore. I guess it is a long shot and that I was actually hoping that perhaps they may know more about Letha and her three sons. I already know that Letha youngest daughter Lucinda died of cancer at a young age and her other daughter was my Grandmother Parlee Eoff Brown. Again Thank you Michelle for posting those obituaries.
