    1. Re: [SUITE] Suite-- Question abt. church records in St. Mary's Co. MD
    2. I agree. My Norris SUITE was buried (supposedly) at All Faith's Episcopal. His wife, Rose WILLIAMS was apparently Catholic and so were his children. My grandmother insisted she was raised Catholic not Episcopal. One of my grandmother's sister's granddaughter's just wrote me today after I asked about this and said her grandmother (my Granny's sister) was also raised Catholic. I think the WILLIAMS family were possibly Catholic, but again--William Henry WILLIAMS is buried in a Methodist Church Cemetery--so who knows. But I distinctly remember my grandmother telling me she grew up Catholic. Rose WILLIAMS grandmother was a SPALDING so it is very possible! But she stayed in MD and did not go West. Sadly, Elizabeth SPALDING was murdered and her husband, James WILLIAMS was accused, convicted and hanged --but a few years later their son William Henry WILLIAMS 1st wife was also murdered. I just am not convinced of James' guilt due to the 2nd murder. I guess we could never prove his innocence or guilt. But it does make descendants think about if justice was really served--or if an innocent man may have died. Shame there aren't more records available to research this whole thing. > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Date: Thu, 3 May 2012 15:13:44 -0400 > Subject: Re: [SUITE] Suite-- Question abt. church records in St. Mary's Co. My Gr grandmother Daisy Rogers(granddaughter of Martha Ann Suit Rogers) was raised Methodist but did raise my Grandma and my dad Catholic.
