Hi, I am currently looking at a number of documents relating to a branch of my family in the 18th century and these involve a lot of financial transactions. I am working on the assumption that £100 in the middle of the 18th century would be roughly equivalent to £6,000 now. Have I got this about right??? Valerie Bill
