Could someone with Great Ashfield registers willing to verify two IGI entries contact me? I have been through the LDS film of Great Ashfield registers, but filming ended before the time period (1788-onward) of my current interest of positively identifying a brother of an ancestor. She and 2 sisters were from Great Ashfield but went to the Soham, Cambridgeshire area as young women and married there, and I suspect it was her brother who also later married at Soham, probably because his sisters were there, but apparently he went back to Great Ashfield, according to his family in the census. It is interesting to fill out information on the lives of siblings of ancestors, and in this case to see how much they must have traveled about. I know that I could purchase a copy of the parish registers (and I have done this), but it is hardly worth doing that for this little bit of information. I mention this because another such request resulted in a couple of comments that I was looking for free research. On the other hand, I will never forget the wonderful response where someone took a photo of a marriage entry and sent it to me via email!
