Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has the Colneis & Samford Deaneries 1813-1900 Baptism CD please and could do a quick check to see if the baptisms for the following are there: Isabella Scarlett b. 1841, dau of Charles & Sarah Scarlett Alippo (Leper) Scarlett b. 1844, son of Charles & Sarah Scarlett The family is from Tuddenham St. Martin, but there are no baptisms for either of them in Tuddenham St. Martin parish registers or on the Carlford & Wilford Baptism CD. I have also checked the Ipswich Baptism CD and the Loes & Orford Baptism CD but no luck on any of them. Thanks for the help, Regards Paula Hadgraft Melbourne, Australia
Hi Paula There is nothing in the Colneis & Samford Deaneries 1813-1900 for those two. They don't appear in the other deaneries of Suffolk either (that are currently released by SFHS). I did find their sister though? Charlotte, of Charles and Sarah Scarlet (not Scarlett) baptised in Nacton on 2Jan1854. Looks like they were in the workhouse as their abode was Nacton House (house of industry I think). Incidentally, according to the GRO, Alippo is actually spelt Aleppo), mother's maiden name is Podd.
