As we say goodbye to the Rootsweb lists thought I'd post my interests all relating to my husbands line. They are mainly around the Bury St. Edmunds area, although some are from just over the border in Norfolk, an area my husband and I know, as we lived there for 10 years in the 60/70's. One line the BUNYAN's went to Suffolk from Essex, and prior to that Hertfordshire. BLOYSE, CATCHPOLE, CLIFT, DAINES, HINES, MOORE, NORMAN, PLUMB, RINGWOOD & SMOOTHY. However, on my line there is one puzzle that may eventually link to Suffolk. I have recently made contact through the Lost Cousins site, which I thoroughly recommend, with a 4th cousin. Now she has SARGENT on the maternal side of her family who hail from Suffolk. However, our line, her paternal line, links to a Richard SARGENT bc1782 in Essex. He moved over gradually to Hastings, Sussex, marrying his first wife in Maidstone, Kent. We don't know where unfortunately, but gut feelings are that he may well have earlier links to Suffolk.
