    1. [SFK-UK] This could be the last reminder - Wakey wakey ;-) re List Closure 2nd March 2020

    3. Hi all So this may be the last reminder, that Rootsweb lists will *cease* to be on the 2nd March 2020 Thats *13* days access from now ! (at best) I say at best as we have already had significant downtime this month, so don't count on having access to the end I have sent invites to all who are subscribed to this list Although you don't need the invite, if you go to https://groups.io Register if needed (email address & create a password) You should receive an email to confirm your email address is correct, reply to it Once registered and logged in, select "Find or Create a Group" from the top blue bar Enter Suffolk and Rootsweb (adding Rootsweb will narrow down to lists ex rootsweb, there are a lot of other lists on io groups) On the home page for https://groups.io/g/Suffolk (or any other list of interest) is a Join this list button And you are good to go Depending on the group you may receive a pending subscription message, so you may need to answer those questions posed (these are just sensible anti spam measures) You will find groups.io are much better than Rootsweb/Mailman, with the facility to post pictures/documents etc Remember, although the lists close on the 2nd March 2020, there may be trouble ahead, and you may not be able to access Rootsweb if you leave it to late -- Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
