Colin Not so quick this time ! Your date of birth looks right as his death is on FreeBMD in the Jan-Mar quarter 1909 in the Rochford District and age is given as 35. Did you notice a possible son, Horace C Tydeman age 2 in the 1911 census who was being looked after as a Nurse Child and not with his mother and then died in July-Sept quarter 1919 aged 10. There is a Emma Tydeman, widow who was a servant working in Southend in 1911 - is that the wife of Robert on the marriage certificate or am I trying to get 2 and 2 to make 5! There is also a Jane Tydeman on the 1911 census, widow age 71 who could have been the mother of Robert as she is living in Prittlewell,Southend. She was born in Paddington and I have traced her back through the census but there is no sign of a Robert with her. Not much to go on and I now appreciate your problem. Regards Brian
