Remembering my maternal grandfather Tom Murray who served with the Royal Naval Flying Corps WWI as a mechanic on the airfields of France for four years (from the age of 16). He lived to be 94 years old. My dad Fred Fulker who passed very recently, a skilled sheet metal worked who made parts for Spitfires and Hurricanes before being released from war work to join the Royal Engineers in WWII. in profound memory of: Arthur Page, born Ely, Cambridgeshire, 31st March 1879. Sergeant, 2nd Suffolks. Killed Delville Wood, Somme, 3.45am 20th July 1916. he is buried in Longueval cemetery, Somme. He was my great-grandfather. Harry Anable, born Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire, August 1896. Private, 11th Suffolks. Killed La Boiselle, Somme, 7.35am 1st July 1916. His body was never recovered, and he is remembered on the Thiepval memorial. He was my great-great-uncle. Herbert Page, born Ely, Cambridgeshire, 12th February 1883. Drummer boy, 2nd Suffolks. Killed 2nd March, 1916 at St Eloi, Ypres. His body was never recovered, and he is remembered on the Menin Gate memorial, Ypres. He was my great-great-uncle. Herbert Cross, born Ely, Cambridgeshire, 21st November 1890. Private, 1st/5th Suffolks. Killed 18th June 1917 at Gaza, Palestine. He is buried in Gaza war cemetery. He was my great-great-uncle. Arthur Page and Herbert Page were brothers. Herbert Cross was the brother of Arthur Page's wife. Arthur Page's grandson married Harry Anable's sister's granddaughter. They are my parents. Simon
