In Memory of my Dad James Ross Cooper H19772 1922 - 1953 Served first as a Queen's Own Cameron Highlander, considered too young to go overseas, so transferred to Winnipeg Grenadiers and was shipped to Hong Kong Oct 1941. Captured Christmas Day 1941, and was a POW until Aug. 1945. Came home October 1945 My 2 x great grandfather James Cooper was born between 1811-1818 in Barking, Suffolk, his wife Kerenhappuch Amelia Hayward was born Claydon, Suffolk.
