    3. Hi Listers Some of you will be interested to read the email message below from Kenneth Kingsbury. Kenneth is a published author of the Kingsbury genealogical lines, including the Kingsburys of Boxford and nearby surrounding areas. Kenneth Kingsbury lives in Dallas Texas. He is planning a Kingsbury Reunion trip to the United Kingdom commencing 06 August 2011. I have his email address should anyone on this forum wish to talk to him about Kingsbury genealogy and his reunion trip regards eddie tricker Australia Hi Everyone, We still have room for up to nine more at the moment that can join us on this Once In A Lifetime event. We plan to spend 11 wonderful days beginning August 6th tour all the Kingsbury ancestral sites of England. On our very first day we will essentially be real tourists as we pass right through the area of Stonehenge and Avebury Henge and it would be silly not to stop and take in this wonderful experience. Even if you have been there before, it is still an awesome area and worth the time. Then we begin our tour of Dorset and Somerset counties which we now know is the ancestral home of one major branch of the Kingsbury family. All those that trace their ancestry to Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand we now know originated from this branch of the Kingsbury family. From there we move to Warwickshire and Lincolnshire which we now believe to be the ancestral homeland for the Kingsbury family that would eventually emigrate to America in 1630 as part of the Winthrop Fleet. We will be able to visit the Kingsbury Hall (Manor) and some of the ancient castles and cathedrals associated with this family. The early surname for this branch of the family was Bracebridge and we were the lords of Kingsbury Hall for over 450 years. As members of this family moved away from Kingsbury Hall they would change their surname to de Kingsbury (from Kingsbury) and that is how our surname came to be. We will even see the small village of Bracebridge which is the southern suburb of Lincoln and the place where the lords of Kingsbury Hall came from. Then it is on to Herts just north of London and we hope to see the excavation site of Kingsbury Castle which it seems is the ancestral home of another branch of the family that seems to have remained in England and primarily settled in London. Finally we will spend time in Suffolk County around Boxford which is the home of that branch of the family that came from Kingsbury Hall in the 1300s before sailing to America in 1630. This is also the home of John Winthrop. We believe that this is the first time such a tour has ever been organized and we are already receiving wonderful support from local historians along the way that wish to meet with us and share their specific history. I am very excited and do hope you can join us. Please do get back to me ASAP as once the last nine seats on the motor coach are filled we will not be able to accept any more participants. If you need to talk to me personally, my home-cell phone is (469)964-0834. Ken Kingsbury Dallas, Texas
