    3. Folks, Every week or so (or whenever the digest gets to about 20 KB), I'm forwarding to the List those posts that have been "gatewayed" from RootsWeb's SUFFOLK Board that might contain information of interest to List subscribers, and here's the current "digest" of such gatewayed posts. If you wish to respond to any of these gatewayed posts, please do so by clicking on the relevant "Message Board URL:" link and NOT by responding either to the list OR to my address as the digest poster. Board posters will not see your List response unless they are also subscribed to the List, and most are not. PLEASE also be careful about responding to any post and inadvertently re-posting the ENTIRE digest to the list! More information on RootsWeb's Boards can be found at: http://boards.RootsWeb.com/boardfaq.aspx#undefined , and the Board "home page" is at: http://boards.rootsweb.com/?o_iid=33216&o_lid=33216 . If you have any questions about the Boards or what the following is, pls contact me off-list at: mailto:SUFFOLK-admin@rootsweb.com . Thanks, Peter SUFFOLK List Admin. -------------------------------------------------- Arthur Stanley Hudson/Bugg This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I am not sure how complete it is.or how far on they are with the more recent years. It is free to search on www.freebmd.rootsweb.com and will give you a reference number with which you can order the certificate if you want it. certificates can be ordered online at www.gro.gov.uk and will cost about 9.25 i think. happy hunting -------------------------------------------------- Re: Thingoe Workhouse This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I am related to Wellington Crane Upson, so I think we have some cross over when I have looked at the Broome family line: I would be happy to share details! My great grandmother was Agnes Upson , born in the early 1900's ,and married James Lawrence; they lived in Suffolk. James was born in Clopton and Agnes was also local, but will have to refresh my memory of where she was born! :) Sam -------------------------------------------------- Re: Broom[e], Abel, Bennett & Upson lines in Suffolk & Norfolk This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Just got the message as it had gone into my spam box. I recognize one name, the John Smith Gough - from all accounts he was a son of Emma's before her marriage to William Firman. This person appeared quite a lot in census documents with the Robert Gough born 1814, which makes me believe this is Emma's family, but I need proof of her parents to go back further. I'll keep searching hopefully someone has the records I need. New Zealand is a long way away when some information is being researched. There are also brothers, Henery, Wellington and sister Ellen.. I am now wondering if I actually have the correct Walter , but everything else seems to fit...confused! I know the parentage is correct as I have a copy of my great grandmothers birth certificate, but of course can't put my hand on it at the moment! -------------------------------------------------- Re: Drake's of St Margaret's Ipswich This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. There names James, Samuel and Henry. One was living in StMargarets when he married in 1843 (James b1820 married Harriote Cooper b1842). Through my research i have found there seems to be a lot of Drakes from Ipswich, my family were originally born in Framlingham Suffolk.
