    3. Hello, There is one set of registers which would be worth checking next - Needham Market Independent/Congregational church. This church opened in 1793 (I think), and it was extremely popular. Note that the "proper" registers are held at Ipswich Record Office, cover the period 1795-1837 with some later entries, and have not been filmed or transcribed by anyone yet. The records on the IGI and on the "PRO" film come from a copy register which is a fraction of the size of the ones held at Ipswich. Since there was at least one burial at the church for the surname of COOPER, this seems to be of interest. Unfortunately for you, I wasn't searching for the surname of Cooper when I went through the registers (I found 61 entries for 9 surnames, some of which are very rare). Have you traced this person, to see whether he is relevant? - Barking St. Mary baptism 21st. October 1810 James COOPER son of James and Elizabeth. Regards, Charles Fuller. 3. Charles, Thank you but I need to find the Marriage Reg. in order to 'confirm' who the parents of 'my' James Cooper are. But I will try to follow the James b 1810 line with James and Elizabeth as parents to keep on hand. Have a good Christmas and Healthy New Year.
