I would like to thank all who have looked at the 1881 Census for me as it has helped clear the picture. My major problem was not knowing the road layout in Old Newton and couldnt get a map that showed anything worthwhile. Mary Ann Snelling was a spinster, and I have made a good search for a marriage, her father Jacob and the 1861 census shows an illegitimate daughter Ann Eliza(name reversed elsewhere) who married George Orsborne and these folks show up in 1911.
