hello marj, I have searched all Howell re Blacksmith's The one you thought may have come from Trimley, was a single man in 1851 so doesn't look like the one, if your Frances was married in 1837 The other W.Howell's were different wife names. I did note like you, a W.Howell born Trimley (note as above) but his wife was born 1841, but not a Frances. I did check though all the William Howlett, his wife all the way through the Census's starting at 1841 was Frances, starting at Earl Stonham also a son Thomas born 1839, so I think this could be them, William wasn't a Blacksmith though, but an Ag.Lab. I followed this William and Frances through every Census until their deaths both died Mar qtr. 1894 registered Hartismere. if you want to know the family and children I could help you there if you like to write to me off line.
