Last year my daughter got married her husband was the father of both children and he and my daughter had gone to register the birth of both children and therefore he was included as the father. After the marrige my daughter went to reregister both children as the law requires. However the father was working and i was allowed to go with her and look after the two children. i was surprised that i was allowed to go in with my daughter and I can confirm that the registrar went though the details from the original registration and enteed it on the register, electronic this days of course.. The only difference that I can see is that my daughter now uses her married name with the usual note of her maiden name. Ken
