Hi Darlene >From the Criminal Registers on Ancestry there are two Ann ROWELLs of the period The first has alias WEBB by the name Name: Ann Rowell Alias WEBB Date of Trial: Oct 1830 Trial Year: 1830 Location of Trial: Middlesex, England Sentence: Transportation Crime: Larceny by a servant Sentence Transportation 14 years and a second Name: Ann Rowell Date of Trial: Sep 1831 Trial Year: 1831 Location of Trial: Middlesex, England Sentence: Acquittal Bigamy I can only see one ROWELL to WEBB marriage as follows St Andrew Holborn 1817 John ROWELL of this Parish and Ann WEBB of this Parish were married in this Church by Banns this first day of September in the Year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventeen By me Tho THIMBLEBY? Curate Both signed In the Presence of George WEBB & Geo HICKS So could the two above Ann ROWELLs be two different people, the alias WEBB perhaps marrying the John ? I haven't heard of a Little Carlow but perhaps others have ?
