    1. [SFK-UK] Daniel Death Chelsea Pensioner and Non Conformist Records

    3. I am still on the prowl for my elusive Daniel Death. A possible fit might just be Daniel Death b. 1787 Bury St, Edmunds shown on both the 1851 and 1861 Census records. He is also shown as being a Chelsea pensioner and a bricklayer. All my other Daniels are bricklayers so this might just be a good fit. I pulled what information I could from the British Army Records using Find My Past and found that this Daniel enlisted 6 Dec 1813 at Bow, Middlesex in the 4th Regiment of Foot. I also have copies of his discharge papers dated 8 Aug 1827 at the age of 41. During his time with the 4th Regiment of Foot he was stationed in East or West Indies. The records don't indicate which. He was discharged due to chronic rheumatism and worn out. Using Ancestry and whatever other sources are available, I have searched high and low for this man between his discharge in 1827 and his death sometime after the 1861 Census. In 1851 and 1861 he is married to Elizabeth, also born abt 1797 Bury St, Edmunds. My question is where would I find non conformist records? I would like to locate a marriage for this Daniel, and also a birth or christening for another Daniel Death b. abt. 1810 Bury St. Edmunds who is my direct ancestor. Thanks. Sheila Dowdell, Toronto.
