Hi Janine I have carried out quite a few different searches for your missing 1881 BARBER family and found nothing However there are over 660 people in the 1881 for Ipswich with no name or details in the index Perhaps your family are among them as they seem to have had children in Ipswich throughout the period yet do not show there In 1891 there is a 10 year old Charles, I do not see a birth reg for him , the nearest is Births Sep 1880 BARBER Herbert Charles Ipswich 4a 703 If you can get a birth cert near to 1881 you can then check that address to see who is there at the time of the census Unfortunately they may not be recorded at all as there are some people missing in all census years plus some recorded incorrectly with the wrong name or other details etc Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Dear List > > > > I have recently started searching my family history after a long break of > nearly ten years. Dear Nivrad Thank you for your searching, it is truly appreciated. The Herbert Charles you mentioned is indeed Charles Herbert, that is a good idea to apply for his death certificate, I didn't think of that. Thank you once again.
