    3. Hello Folks, I am in the early phases of researching my nephew's family tree of Osborne (etc), he lives in N.Z. so is not much help. They are Suffolk people, and my previous research has been Sussex and IOW(father & mother), plus Yorkshire (wife) so I know very little of the Genealogy situation in Suffolk. I have had some good help from the Stow List but need to get a picture of Suffolk in general Can anyone give me an overview of where I can get at Parish Records, originals ,fiche or CD's. Who has them etc. I am aware of what I can order in the way of films from LDS I have a niece in Newmarket who would look at originals if I knew where they are. Any general advise would be most helpful The family starts out in Old Newton abt 1790 as far as I have got. Phil White in New Hampshire USA Roots in Sussex & IOW

    3. Bury St Edmunds have Fiche of most of the Suffolk Parishes as do Lowestoft, and Ipswich have full records and other parish records like barstardy bonds parish chests etc. Bury St Edmunds is a little on the small side. Ipswich is a dream to work at. and Lowestoft is farly reasonable size, Honor Please don't judge me on what I have achieved, but what I have overcome. Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body. Rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!" --- On Fri, 23/7/10, Phil White <pwgrandmapa@comcast.net> wrote: From: Phil White <pwgrandmapa@comcast.net> Subject: [SFK-UK] ORSBORNE To: suffolk@rootsweb.com Date: Friday, 23 July, 2010, 14:20 Hello Folks, I am in the early phases of researching my nephew's family tree of Osborne (etc), he lives in N.Z. so is not much help. They are Suffolk people, and my previous research has been  Sussex and IOW(father & mother), plus Yorkshire (wife) so I know very little of the Genealogy situation in Suffolk.
