After visiting Langham I need to go back another generation by visiting STOWLANGTOFT where my great grandmother JANE was born in 1849. Her parents were EMMA and HENRY PLUMMER who lived in KILN FARM ROAD. Henry was a shepherd. It would be nice to find the road they lived in but I guess this is long gone. I will visit Stowlangtoft Church if I can get the key as Jacqui kindly informed me. Suffolk Roots Magazine does not list Stowlangtoft in its list of Monumental Inscriptions so I guess I may need to visit the churchyard and try and find Henry's grave. I don't hold out much luck here. Or would Suffolk Record Office know, even though the Monumental Inscriptions have not been published for that village. EMMA, later PLUMMER, was born in TOSTOCK but moved to STOWLANGTOFT when she married Henry, and then to LANGHAM after the death of HENRY and when she was married again to GREGORY STIFF on 25th March 1869. I am hoping that the records for Stowlangtoft and Tostock are in the Sussex Record Office and not locked in the churches or something. None of this seems to be on any web site. Shirley
