Any general advise > would be most helpful <snip> As Noreen has already said, the copies of the Parish Registers are on microfiche at all the Suffolk Record Offices with Bury St Edmunds being the nearest to Newmarket. Your niece will find the staff very helpful if she hasn't carried out research before. At any of the Record Offices it is advisable to book a microfiche reader in advance so as not to have a wasted journey.
