Hi David, There have been many books written on the Felixstowe Ferry Pilots (these include information on the Newson family, The Passiful family and the Watts family) They were all Woodbridge pilots but living in what is now called "old Felixstowe" or "Felixstowe Ferry" My father holds a whole series of books written locally about the area. One of these is the history of Felixsowe Ferry. I'll speak him tomorrow and get the title and author of this book. It contains many historic photos of the local families (Newsons, Watts, Passifuls). I think the book is now out of print and not cheap to get a copy of, but I'm sure you can still obtain this at a ridiculous expensive price from when it was first published. Whilst I'm not connected with the Felixstowe Ferry Newsons I stay in touch with people that are.
