Hi All I am entering the realms of the unknown I believe that my Gt Uncle Jesse Barnes well his 2nd wife adopted 3 children I am guessing while he was alive they married in 1936 & he died in 1961 They lived at Brooklyn Cottage Great Barton, what I been told is that she adopted 3 children 1 being a baby from a Irish lass & the other 2 were older at the time of adoption I don't know much else at present. This got me wondering if there is a register to check out people who adopt children as I mean you can't check the GRO for a birth for them so where does one look Regards Janice
