    3. Hi Are there any local historians out there who may know the origin of the name 'Beans Lane' in Burgate? My family lived in the village from at least 1650 until the mid 1800s and many Beans are buried in the churchyard which is not far from the lane that runs parallel to the existing road towards Wortham and is called Beans Lane Any help would or contact details for local historians would be much appreciated.
