    1. Re: [SFK-UK] Look-ups
    2. hi, Stella, I'm wondering if you have a marriage in Framlingham(?) abt 1646 between Edmond Cross(e) and Sarah (possibly Hinde??? but maybe not) , they resided in Woodbridge but their marriage isn't in St. Mary's parish there. they became Quakers in 1655, and are off the CofE records from then on. I am also interested in an Edmond Crosse and Margery Cork or Kirk of Framlingham who may be the above Edmond's parents. Edmond Cross(e) b. abt 1600 d. after 7 Sep 1641 (old calender), Framlingham. Suffolk, England bur. 8 Oct 1641 Framlingham ???m. 1st 9 May 1612 Framlingham Margerie Corke? Cirk? I did not note why I put those question marks there, but if you look at that date and do not find them, the earliest child in the IGI is christened in 1617, so there's a time frame for you to look in. their known children; Francis bapt. 4 May 1617 Framlingham Edmond bapt Mar 22 1620 Framlingham John bapt. Mar 25 1624 Framlingham there may be a Margaret and an Elizabeth, they're in Edmond Cross(e)'s will but I didn't find them in the IGI. Edmond remarried to an Ann at some time prior to his death as she is his wife in his will. let me know if you have any questions. best, Cornelia I believe my Edmund was born abt 1620. hopefully I can prove/disprove it-can you find a death for Edmond bapt Mar 22 1620? if you can't it won't prove he's mine, but if you can it will disprove my hypothesis and I can start over in my search for my Edmond. chances are they're related somehow, all the Edmond Cross's I've discovered are, with one exception and I believe he's related, he's just too undocumented to prove. 3. Hi Cornelia I don't know if you remember, but I did look up the CROSS entries in Framlingham a few years ago for you (in 2005, in fact!), so I will forward the email I sent you then straight away. With documents this old, there are bound to be omissions for all sorts of reasons; they may never have been entered, they may be illegible or badly faded, and so on. It looks to me like Margaret and Elizabeth may have been neices.... I will have another look at the fiches to see if I can spot Margery's surname elsewhere (though I believe I did try before). regards Stella On 5 Jan 2011, at 20:36, fenenga@connpoint.net wrote: > > > hi, Stella, I'm wondering if you have a marriage in Framlingham(?) > abt 1646 between Edmond Cross(e) and Sarah (possibly Hinde??? but > maybe not) , they resided in Woodbridge but their marriage isn't in > St. Mary's parish there. they became Quakers in 1655, and are off the > CofE records from then on. > > I am also interested in an Edmond Crosse and Margery Cork or Kirk of > Framlingham who may be the above Edmond's parents. > > Edmond Cross(e) > b. abt 1600 > d. after 7 Sep 1641 (old calender), Framlingham.
