For John McLinden,  Is Bures Hamlet included in with Bures St. Mary or is that far enough away to be in Essex records?  I am looking for my 2nd grgrandmother, ELIZABETH SHEAD,     b. 8 May 1832/33 in Bures Hamlet.  I would like to know who her parents were and of course any information anyone may have about her or her family. She married Samuel Beaumont and lived in One House, Stowmarket, and Bury St. Edmond had a daughter Emma that married Frederick Wilden and they had 7 sons and I think 2 girls that died very young.  Two of the sons came to Us.  One was Frank (my grandfather) and the other Albert. Thank you so much for your time and offer.     Jean in cold Michigan, US    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx   Bures Hamlet is on the other side of the River Stour in Essex and , if it has its own registers, I'm afraid I don't have them.   Occasional mention is made in the Bures St Mary registers of individuals being of Bures Hamlet but it is very hit and miss and there is no guarantee that anyone registering a baptism, marriage or burial in the St Mary registers is really from the Hamlet.   I will have a look at the relevant date and get back to you.   J.
