    3. Marj, do you think that the 'second' Margaret marriage, could actually be the 'first', and that they just had some children before they married. It happened quite often. Especially to make sure there was an 'heir'. Just a thought ... Deb. In very soggy south east Queensland (also just letting my friends here know we are high, and out of floods waters, if not dry ;-) ) -----Original Message----- From: suffolk-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:suffolk-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Mac and Marj McCulley Sent: Sunday, 16 January 2011 1:16 PM To: suffolk@rootsweb.com Subject: [SFK-UK] Lillistone Several of my Lillistone cousins and I are having a great deal of trouble with our ancestor Henry LILLYSTONE (or variations therof) born 1737 Many of us have him documented with four wives but we are struggling to verify this. Starting with Wife no 1. We would be so grateful if anyone has the parish registers for Redingfield and Stoke Ash. ( or anything close by. I apologize for my lack of knowledge about the appropriate parishes although Google maps is a great help!) What we need is a possible marriage for Henry LIlLYSTONE to a Margaret (possibly GODDARD) approx 1756 Any baptisms for Henry and Margaret between the marriage date and 1761 would be greatly appreciated. We need verification of John Lillystone 14/10/1757 and Henry 14/10/1758. We have found Henry with a second marriage in possibly Redingfield or Rickinghall Superior to another Margaret (HERN) Marriage listed as 9/7/1761 However we have not found a burial for the first Margaret in any of these parishes. We do have a burial for Margaret Lillystone 26/6/1775 at Wetheringsett . We believe this to be the second Margaret. Any help would be greatly appreciated Marj. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SUFFOLK-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hello Deb It is good to hear that you are safe. I am still waiting to get news of a Lillistone cousin who lived in the Brisbane flood zone. Thank you for your suggestion. It is a very good one. If we do not discover a marriage or a death before 1775 you may well be right. Keep safe Marj. -----Original Message----- From: suffolk-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:suffolk-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Debbie Godbold Sent: Sunday, 16 January 2011 2:54 PM To: suffolk@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [SFK-UK] Lillistone Marj, do you think that the 'second' Margaret marriage, could actually be the 'first', and that they just had some children before they married.
