    3. Many Thanks for the information. I am ploughing through marriage bonds for another marriage by licence and when I have finished I shall try and find this one. I have found some Suffolk bonds in the Norwich Consistory Court records, can I assume this one may be there too? 1. [SFK-UK] John HADENHAM (or surname variants thereof) born approx 1775
    2. David Cullingford
    3. Hello I'm hoping someone out there might be able to help? A distant relative of mine has been trying for years to locate where her direct ancestor was born? The family were based in Suffolk and my relative's trawled as many registers as she could to locate him. His father and mother William Hadenham and Christiana Goddard came from Heveningham, Suffolk. William born in 1728 and buried in 1798 (both events in Heveningham), Christiana born in 1721 in Heveningham but being buried in 1811 in Brampton, Suffolk. John Hadenham, the person I seek, was married to Elizabeth Penneville, widowed. They settled down in Worlingham where they brought up their family We think John was born around 1775, but where? If you have John in your tree and you have this info, please get in touch? You will make my 85 year old relation very happy if you do! The surname could be any number of variants including Hadingham, Hadnum etc Thanks David

    3. Hi Janine I have many Fayers/Faiers etc in my tree. My gg grandmother was Elizabeth Fayers bap 1835 Milden. The family were farmers and millers, though obviously sometimes appeared on census as Ag Lab. Mine came from Bildestone area, but Samuel Fayers and Charlotte Warsp(?) despite both being noted as coming from Bricet, were married at Barham. My gg grandmother's sister Julia Fayers and brother Daniel were at school at Claydon in the 1851, whilst my gg herself married my gg grandfather William Dawson who owned a windmill at Rushmere St Andrews, just down the road. Do you have more details about Henry and William? Regards Phil How

    3. Hi Dorothy Since ages are often as flexible as spellings, I wonder whether your ancestor could have been the daughter of John and Elizabeth RELTON who was baptized at Cavendish on 10 April 1763 (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/J7HW-FXS). David Date: Sun, 3 Jun 2012 11:26:08 +0100 From: Dorothy Robinson <[email protected]> Hi, I am researching my THOMPSON family from Cavendish. If anyone has any information on this family I would be most grateful. The lady  ELIZABETH RULTON born abt 1770 is causing me the most trouble at the moment. She is my 5x great grandmother and I am unable to find her origins. She married my 5 x great grandfather THOMAS THOMPSON  18th November 1790 in Cavendish but although I have searched extensively online and on Suffolk discs,  I have drawn a blank. Does anyone out there have access to Cavendish church records and if so would they be so kind to have a look for me? I would be so grateful. ELIZABETH died and THOMAS married MARY GOLDING also of Cavendish, in 1798 at Cavendish church. They had 7 children together. regards Dorothy

    3. Hi Janine and any other Faiers family historians ... just to tell you that William Bransby Faiers, born in Hadleigh in 1791, married in Hadleigh in 1816, was a schoolmaster in Long Melford from around 1818 until at least 1841, after which he returned to Hadleigh, but was in Ipswich in 1854. He was quite prominent in Melford for some years, if anyone wants to know more about his Melford years, contact me. Lyn B Would anyone have an idea where I could find some information on Shrubland Park in Barham Ipswich. I have googled a fair amount about ownership etc, but I have an old postcard of Shrubland found in my Great Grandfathers correspondence, which has hand written on it : "Shrubland Park Beautiful Estate designed by William Fraiers for Sir William Middleton now belonging to Lady De Laumaurez, Maze 12 ft of Box" Thank you in advance Janine ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Thanks Nivard Yes they are my Fayers, Faiers, Fairs, Fraiers, various spellings exist. The Henry Fayers, Ag Labourer on the 1851 census in Barham is my GG Grandfather interestingly he is listed on his daughters marriage cert in 1863 as deceased gardener and on his death certificate in 1854 as Gardener. His father was William Fairs, labourer from Claydon. I will contact SRO, thank you again for your reply.
