By the mid 1660s and early 1670s, there were over 26 households in Suffolk with the surname Humphry. This would suggest that persons with that surname had been in Suffolk for many generations. As Humphrey can also be a forename, I would suspect that there would be several family lines with that surname. I have put below my sign off all the Humphreys I can spot in the various hearth taxes between 1664 and 1674. War Graves Commission may know that he originated in Dubbo, New South Wales, and that there is 102 pages of Service Record for him on the National Archives of Australia website. There may still be relatives living in Dubbo.
