STUMP, Frederick b: 1723 Lancaster Co PA d: May 1820 Nashville, Davidson Co TN m: abt 1757 PA Anna SNAVELY b: 1725 PA d: 11-26-1804 Nashville, Davidson Co TN; ch: Jacob b: 1758 PA d: 11-1780 Nashville, killed by Indians, beleived to have been married but no info on wife or children; Barbara b: 1-4-1762 PA d: 9-7-1856 Bowling Green, Warren Co KY m:1783 Fort Nashboro, Davidson Co TN "before there was much government" according to Widow pension records filed, Phineas COX, have their children w/families to present day, sources etc more than willing to share, Anna b: 10-22-1763 PA d: 5-16-1816 Franklin Co MS m: 1780 Fort Nashboro John GAIS, have children; Frederick Jr. b: 1766 PA d: 4-1799, killed by Harp Brothers, TN Outlaws, while hunting, father later helped capture one of the brothers and bring him to justice, still had Frederick Jr. longrifle; John b: 10-22-1776 Augusta Richmond Co GA d: 12-23-1848 Adams Co MS m" 5-16-1801 Davidson Co TN Rebecca Wilins HYDE, have descendants; Christopher b: 1778 GA d: 7-12-1821 TN m: 1)Rachel SHUTE 2) Sarah BROOKS, have some of their children; Sarah Alice b: 1780 TN m: Alsa PACE, have some of their children and in current contact with descendant. Frederick's parents Christopher STUMP and Margaretha (maiden name unknown). Have Christopher's will and lots of info on Frederick. Frederick helped settle Nashville, owned Inn and home which were still standing a few years ago. Catholic Church owns the Inn which is being renovated, log home is not in very good shape. Was built in about 1781, has dovetailed ends which was unusal and advanced for the time, cemetery is on the same property with the log home, but graves and not distinguishable.
