Stump's father was Michael Neff Stump and mother Sophia Long. Is that correct? Then I feel that Micheal Neff Stump's parents George Stump and Catherine Neff. So George that-- George born 1787 had a brother John born 1795*****Who I feel in MY John in the 1850 Hardy census and 1860 Vermilion Co. IL census I sent out on the Stump Listserv. But I have no proof yet just lots of exploring all the information out there. So I feel we are pretty close and should keep in contact. Do you know any of the other children of George Stump and Elizabeth. I found a Catherine Stump as a sister of George and John. I have seen the name Elizabeth Massey and the name of Elizabeth Wilson. I have also seen them as both wifes but Elizabeth Wilson as the first wife and mother of my JOHN. My John Stump died 4/26/1871 in Pilot twp, Vermilion Co. IL. I don't have a date on the death of his son, George, yet. I have also see My John Stump married to a Prudence Parsons but I feel on Genforum/stump it was corrected that Prudence Parsons was married to the John Stump-- son of Leonard Stump JR. My John Stump was married to a Sarah and I am going after the marriage of a John Stump and Sarah Neff in 1814 hoping to find out if it is them. I do have another Stump family in Vermilion Co. IL that I can't connect to and they have a George Washington Stump in the family who came from OH or IN. I will forward you to them and also tell them about this list. Keep asking those questions.
