Jesse b: June 17, 1808 h/o Sarah Stout The Memorial tombstone to Michael 3rd. and wife Magdalena placed at the gravesites by descendants on May 30, 1912. The monument at the graves is said to have been made in Kentucky and transported most of the way to Steer Creek by water. Probably by way of the Ohio and Little Kanawha rivers. Dr. Leland J. Stump, a great grandson of Charleston, West Virginia, initiated the memorial movement and he and Taylor R. Stump Addressed the gathering at the time of the commemoration.
