Among them. the reason for the discontinuance of the use of the name remains undetermined. there is no known instance of it's use again through the next two generations that can be found among the records which are readily available at this time. There were fourteen children by his first marriage as noted above and in 1867 he remarried to a Mary Bush Rice. There were no descendants by the second marriage.
