>From earlier information which I have received, the wife of David Hairston STUMP b. 27 May 1834 in Tazewell, VA d. 16 May 1911 in Washington County, VA was Nancy E. REYNOLDS b. 1840 in Craig County, VA. Their daughter was Martha Jane STUMP b. 9 Sep 1857 in Tazewell who was married to John Alexander P. RATLIFF b. Sep 1852. However, during a recent visit to the Old Glade Cemetary in Glade Spring, VA I found the headstone of David; included on this same stone was the name of his wife, Harriet M. ______ b. 26 Nov 1839 d. 5 Nov 1911. Can anyone solve this mystery? Who was the mother of Martha? Did David have two wives? Any help would be appreciated. Emme Ratcliff Leslie
