I have two Stump men who are identified as sons of Jonathan Stump but seem not be sons of Jonathan's first wife, Sarah Shaw. Apparently they are children of second wife Elizabeth Bowman. Eli C. Stump, born 6/24/1872 in Indiana, is mentioned in the Jesse H. Stump 1913 land affidavit. Eli's wife is "Rilly Stump.." Does anyone know her maiden name? Does Rilly stand for Merilla? Jesse Stump wrote in 1904 that Eli was married and had a family but I have little information on these folks. I have children listed as Lemoine A. Stump, Wayne Calvert Stump, Flroence Alberta Stump, and Twins 1 @ 2. (Most of my information on this part of the family came from the Shaw records, and they weren't that interested in these non-Shaws. They couldn't know that one of there descendants would later marry a Stump and that the family would want to know all about both sides.) A second son of the 2d marriage is Elmer W. Stump, who lived near Roanoke, Allen County, IN., at one time. He was born 10/16/1870. Married Lulu Norris c1889. Children Gussie, Orvil, Otis, Goldie, Bertha, and Harvey. Does anybody know what happened to these folks and their descendants? Jan T
