Hi! I am related to Nell McNish Gambill through her brother Samuel A. McNish, my great-grandfather. She was not a descendent of Capt Leeper and Susan Drake. That was her husband's family. The first half of the book is her husband's family and the second half is her family. Her family includes chapters on the McNish, Stump, Marshall, and Dean families. Nell's mother was Julia Ann Stump, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Stump and Malinda Marshall, granddaughter of Maj. Christopher Stump, great-granddaughter of Col. Frederick Stump. I have a copy of her book if anyone needs some info. One problem is that Aunt Nell did not put any sources in her book and I have found that some of the facts are incorrect. But it has given me a good clues and a starting point for my research. Christine M.
