Hi! Some other derivitives of Stump are Stub, Stup and Stupp. Those were from German records. I have the books "Palatines to America" by Hank Jones, Jr. and they include German immigrants who came over from 1710 -1827? There are 647 families and it was researched in Germany (actual records). If anyone would like me to do a look-up, please let me know after the 14th (I am unsubscribing due to vacation) and I would be happy to. My husband's Stup was Martin who came to New York in 1710 and lived in the Tulpehocken Area. They then moved to Berks Co.,& Franklin Co. PA and then to Summit Co, OH. The line goes: Martin, Abraham, Michael, John, Ephraim, Clarence, Clarence and James. Hope to hear from some of you. I have some old info to post on other Stumps when I come home. Jeanne Leita Stump
