Hi folks, Since there is a bit of activity on the list of late...I thought I'd re-ask if there are any Stampf searchers out there and if they have any information that relates to the info below: Friedrich Stampf and his wife Mathilda arrived in New York approximately 1860 from Germany with their infant son and firstborn: Henry R. Stampf. They had the following children in Brooklyn, NY: Charles b. 1863; Fredrik b. 1865; Augustus b May 1868; Frank b. August 1871; Edward b. August 1872 and Rosa b. March 1876. This according to 1880 Census. On 1900 Bklyn, NY Census, Mathilda is listed as widowed, age 62 and listed with her are August, age 32, S; Frank, age 29, S; Edward, age 27, S; and Rosie, age 24, S. All the males listed as Day Laborers...women show no occupation. I hope to find more relatives out there... Joanie
