I have two Williams in George and Catherines' family. One is an adopted William Seymour Maslin/Stump-- the other is their son. Wm Seymour's first marriage was to Melissa Jarvis (dau of Fountain Jarvis and Sarah Loving) in March 18, 1881. I didn't see her in the 1860 census of Vermilion Co.(23 years old) So I didn't know if she stayed in Hardy Co or came with them. This sure looks like her. John Stump and Jane(?) had a Daughter by the name of Independent who was 1 1/2 years in 1860. Could this be her? I will see if I can get the marriage information on them. I have never been so busy as this Stump list has kept me. But I'm not complaining just warning you I can't keep up with all the really good information and all the discussions going on.
