    3. Thanks Daryl, >Hello, > >Here are Stump marriages from Vermilion Co., IL 1826-1877. Hope this >information helps someone. > >Daryl Bruner > >Stump, John A. >Jarvis, Isaphena Louisa (under age, Mary Ann Jarvis-Mo) >mar. 14 Feb. 1863 I didn't have this marriage. John A. is the son of my George Stump and Catherine Jane Neff. John A.'s other siblings are Virginia, Percilla(Pricilla), William, Sarah and George W. Stump. >Stump, John A. G. >Martin, Mary >mar. 8 Jun 1866 This John A. Godolphin was adopted or changed his name to Stump. In the Hardy Co 1850 census he was living with George Stump and Catherine Jane Neff. This must be a second marriage for him because I also have this information on him. John Stump age 39, Blount Twp. ILL FA: George Stump MO: Catherine Neff Occ. mechanic Married by George W. Dodson, Minister Wit: George Stump and George Jarvis Married: Missouri Lockhard- age 24 Blount Twp. ILL born Ill. Matthew Lockhart Genama Lockhart Married April 26, 1881 >Stump, John J. >Scott, Catharine J. >mar. 15 Mar 1857 I didn't have this one either. Thanks. John J. is the son of John Stump and Sarah. in 1850 he was 20 years old. >Stump, William >Reese, Ardilla >mar. 11 Aug 1871 This must be an other marriage also. Do you have an age on this William? I have two Williams in George and Catherines' family. One is an adopted William Seymour Maslin/Stump-- the other is their son. Wm Seymour's first marriage was to Melissa Jarvis (dau of Fountain Jarvis and Sarah Loving) in March 18, 1881. William, blood son, was married to Emma Gritton on Jan. 4, 1885 (dau of William Gritton and Mary Pentecost). >McVicker, Tilman >Stump, Priscilla E. >mar. 4 Dec 1862 She spells her name two ways. Persilla also. I just made contact with the McVicker side of the family looking for information on the Stumps hoping to made a connection to the McVickers thru that connection. Has anyone heard of that name in Hardy Co. We aren't sure were the McVickers came from. Darla Myler also has the spelling different here. Mcvicar Mcvicker. Seems Percilla also may have married a Jacob Eib by 1870. She had two sons named James and John A. Mcvicar. > >Cramer, Joseph H. >Stump, Sarah Amelia >mar. 13 Apr 1857 Do you have an age on this Sarah A. Stump? I have a Sarah daughter of John Stump and Sarah Neff. I didn't see her in the 1860 census of Vermilion Co.(23 years old) So I didn't know if she stayed in Hardy Co or came with them. This sure looks like her. I didn't have her middle name just an A. >Adams, William H. (Rachel Adams-Mo) >Stump, Sarah A. J. J. (George Stump-Fa) >mar. 17 Jun 1871 This must be a niece of the Sarah A. above because this Sarah was the dau of George a brother of the first Sarah A. Now I do see her in the 1860 census as 8 years old. She was born in IL after they came from VA. Her mother was Catherine Jane Neff. Her siblings were: John A., Virginia, Persilla, William , Sarah, George. >Cannon, William >Stump, Virginia >mar. 4 Dec 1862 Another one I didn't have. Thanks heaps! >Davis, Absalom, 34 (Pilot Twp.) >Stump, Anna R., 19 (Pilot Twp.) >mar. 17 Jan 1877 Because this Anna R. Stump was in Pilot Twp. it must be connected to my Stumps but right now I don't know where. None of the other Stumps in Vermilion Co except mine were from Pilot twp. John Stump and Jane(?) had a Daughter by the name of Independent who was 1 1/2 years in 1860. Could this be her? I will see if I can get the marriage information on them. I have never been so busy as this Stump list has kept me. But I'm not complaining just warning you I can't keep up with all the really good information and all the discussions going on. I just had to answer this one because they are all MINE. I have been on vacation at the cabin with the bears and moose. They are more interested in food than genealogy. Wonder why!? This is so much fun. Diana in AK
