In searching for possible relatives of my Anna Stump who with husband, Cyrus Sellers, came to Iroquois and Vermilion Co., IL from PA, one source that might be helpful to your search is the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) Web site on earlly Illinois land sales and then look at the counties of interest to you.
