Does anyone know where Peter STUMP, b. abt 1740 in Germany, married to Catherine WIDEN in Berks Co PA, both died in Hampshire Co VA, would fit into the following descendency chart? It is said that he and his half-brother Christopher started to move to Tennessee. "They got as far as Loudoun County, Virginia. And there for some reason or other ... (he) stopped and settled on a tract of land along Goose Creek. It is said that Christopher Stump went on , and no more was ever heard of him, ...". "And it is said that Great-Great-Grandfather Peter Stump lived in Loudoun County, Virginia till about 1801, or 1802, and then moved to Hampshire County, Virginia. According to the original author, "The early records of our strain of the STUMP family comes mostly by word of mouth, as I have stated few records were kept.
