Carol: Wish I could be of help to you, but I only know a bit about one Stump. I thought I had a difficult search until I read your plea. I am only trying to find out what happened to my gr gr grandfather George Ward's second wife, Eliza Stump. George and Eliza made the trek west from Ohio to Illinois to Iowa. I know that they stayed together and he died and is buried in Des Moines. And I know that she died in Oct. of 1891, but there is no official record of her death and no burial site.
