Hello STUMP Researchers: I am searching for information about Jacob STUMP who was born 1834 in Germany. Between 1854 and 1862 he married my great grandmother, Anna Margarethal 'Turp' MIES in perhaps Armühla, Rhineprovinz, GER?. Their eldest, Elizabeth had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Her youngest brother, Henry STUMP was born June 16, 1875, in Armühla, Rhineprovinz, GER according to database being compiled for the area. it is noted therein that all children were born in Armühla. Therefore, assume they immigrated to America after that time and shortly? before they came to St. Mark, KS in 1886. John served in the German Army before immigrating to America. On his 1918 Axis Alien Registration, son, John, states he entered the US through the port of New York on the 13th day of May 1889 on the ship, Westerland. After his stint in the German Army. Naturalized 1896. Does anyone have any further information? Did other family members immigrate with them or at another time?
