I am a direct descendant of Francis and Rachel Stump and I am interested in corresponding with anyone else related to these Stumps. Francis was indeed, a Brethren Bishop, at least, according to my research. I have spent many long hours in the PA archives, several courthouses, etc., but I have yet to "officially" identify Francis' parents. Rachel Martin was the daughter of Johann and Jacobina Martin, who were originally from Wellington, Notzingen-Donau, Wurtemberg. I believe that the various Brethren documents tying her to George Martin are incorrect. I will gladly share my information with anyone interested, so please send me an email.
