BRETHREN MESSENGER (monthly publication of Church of the Brethren) arrived today. List of deaths reported included one for OLIVER STUMP, 101, of Cushing, OK, on September 3. It doesn't, alas, give any other information. Since he was Brethren and since he lived in Oklahoma, I feel like he should belong to my batch of Stumps, who moved from Noble County, IN, to Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas (not to mention Oregon, etc.) but I can't fit him in. Does anybody recognize how he fits into the Stump line? Jan T
Greetings: My GG aunt, Eliza Jane BEBOUT married Levi STUMP 5 OCT 1864 in Washintbon County, Ohio. They probably lived in Waterford near Eliza's father Stewart Bebout, a blacksmith. Levi and Eliza Jane Stump had at least 2 children: 1---Etta (Hattie) born about 1864 m Jessie L. DANEILSON 22DEC 1887 in Wa. Co. Oh and they had a son, Ben in 1892 who married a Catherine CHILDERS 10 FEB 1915 2---Arthur born Jan 1867. m Onie CARTER. They had 2 children Harry E. STUMP (May 1896) and Alvin D. STUMP (Sep 1898) Does anyone know Levi STUMP's ancestry or his descendants details? Many thanks indeed, Peter http://members.aol.com/ancestour/MASTHEAD.html
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to download archived messages from this list? Would be more convenient for searching & faster. I've looked around but can't spot that feature. Thanks, Steve Stump

Dear Members, My ancestor, Johannes FURST, Palatine, came to America on the ship St. Mark, Capt. Wilson, from Rotterdam, to the Port of Philadelphia. On the same ship was Christoffel STUMP and others. Is Christoffel STUMP your immigrant ancestor? I'm searching for the town in Germany where these Palatines lived. Johannes FURST, his wife, Sarah, children Christian, Peter, Elizabeth and Ann later settled in Loudoun Co.VA. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Patt Fulton e-mail: PattFulton@aol.com
