I am looking for Bernard Strope, Stroup, born 1831 and died in 1862 in Paw Paw Twnsp. DeKalb Cty., Ill. after being kicked in the head by a horse. He had married Martha Melissa Lake on Sept. 9, 1861, DeKalb Cty., Ill. and his daughter Catharine A. "Cassie" Stroup was born in 1862. I am wondering where Bernard was from, his parents, etc. and what ever happened to Cassie. I know she lived in Ill. and Hamilton County, Iowa with her mom and her second husband, John Blair in a town named Ellsworth. Help!
