Hi, My grandfather was James Garfield Stroup. He married Jessye Inez Perkins. His father was James Sidney Stroup. I've been told they were born in Pennsylvania. I've also been told that either James S. or maybe his father fought at Gettysburg in the Penn. Volunteers for the Union side.
